What do Other International Students Say About St. Norbert?

Why Study at St. Norbert College?

studentwithpriest

When we ask our current international students what they like best about St. Norbert, we get the same answer every time: St. Norbert offers a unique dedication to personal attention, safety, social experience, superior academics, and a beautiful campus. When you’re at St. Norbert, we want you to feel as if you’re at home. When you need us, we’ll be here. From your personal pick-up at the Green Bay airport, to a personal full-time academic advisor: we’ve got you covered.

Academics.

Its no wonder that when our students respond to why they chose St. Norbert, they list academics as one of their main reasons. St. Norbert has been consistently named as one of the “Best Colleges in America” by U.S. News and World Report. Not to mention we’ve been listed as one of the “Best Midwestern College 2007”  in The Princeton Review, and as one of the “Character Building Colleges” by the John Templeton Foundation.

With over thirty academic majors, minors, and programs, you’re bound to find a course of study that fits your professional goals and dreams.  Our professors will engage you in life-changing academic dialogues that will ensure (guarantee) your stimulation and interest. Most importantly, you’ll learn the skills and gain the knowledge you need to succeed anywhere in the world.

Personal Attention.

At St. Norbert you will receive the  personal attention, dedication, and respect you deserve.

From when you arrive in Green Bay until the time you leave, we guarantee our students a superior level of involvement in their academics, personal concerns, and safety. After all, you’re investing a lot in your education- and you will receive service that’s dedicated to you, not only until you arrive.

A variety of full-time advisors, professionals, faculty, and other members of our staff are here to provide answers to your questions and concerns twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Your professors will know not only your name, but your goals and your dreams. We believe that a superior education comes from a mutual relationship between our students and the faculty and staff- and to assure these close relationships we have small class sizes.  Our student to faculty ratio is 14:1.  This means that when you have a question your professor will have the time and ability to respond to you personally.  You’re not just a number at St. Norbert- you’re a part of the family.

Safety and Security.

Because St. Norbert is situated in De Pere, Wisconsin (a suburb of Green Bay, Wisconsin) we have an exceptionally safe and inviting campus. Crime is incredibly rare in De Pere, with a population of just over 20,000 people. The campus, which is spread out over 90 acres, is well lit with 39 different buildings.

We have a 24-hour campus safety team which responds to issues in a quick and efficient manner. Whether you’re locked out of your room or would like a ride from one side of campus to the other, we’ve got you covered.

An array of social activities.

Any successful university experience is not singularly academic. As a student at St. Norbert you’ll find the ability to get involved in any number of activities ranging from our campus radio station, WSNC, to our Student Government Association. International students have several organizations they can join. These organizations can network international students and domestic students looking to meet international students. Interested in greek life? We’ve got a number of nationally recognized fraternities and sororities on campus.
We encourage you to check out the variety of activities available to students here.
