Marcella O’Malley earned a B.A from St. Michael’s College in Vermont in 1984 and began a career in education. She worked in college admissions for three years at St. Michael’s College before attending the National University of Ireland for post-graduate work in English.
Upon completion of a higher diploma in 1988, she returned to the U.S. to teach English and work as assistant director of admissions in a private boarding school in New York. She returned to college admissions a year later at The Sage Colleges in Albany, N.Y. Later she worked in Chicago, Ill. as associate director of admission for St. Norbert College from 1992 until 1996, when she moved back to Ireland. Marcella worked as a marketing and enrollment consultant for a private educational consulting company from 2000-2005.
She joined the Center for International Education in 2005.
