Professional profile
Dr. Thomas Bolin, a specialist in the ancient literary and cultural contexts of the Hebrew Bible, is well known in Europe as an Old Testament biblical scholar and often presents papers at international conferences.
His research encompasses ancient Israelite history and religion and the Bible. He is presently writing a commentary on the Book of Ecclesiastes, “Ecclesiastes: A Social-Science Commentary,” (2007). He has written numerous reviews for professional publications and assisted with the translation from German of Volkmar Fritz, Einfuhrung in die biblische Archaologie (1985), published as “Introduction to Biblical Archaeology (Sheffield Academic Press, 1994).
Before he came to St. Norbert College in 2002, he taught graduate and undergraduate courses St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. |
