In this presentation Fr. Neilson will share some thoughts and images as to how the Christian imagination has preserved and promoted the person and ideas of St. Augustine via the visual arts and how the story of Augustine is as familiar and essential to today's culture as it has been over the course of 1500 years.
Essentially, he will reflect upon images that have been made in service to preserving and promoting Augustine as a man who lived a rich and flourishing life in pursuit of beauty and truth, and how both the believing and secular cultures have celebrated Augustine's journey in life and faith. |
