As one of the foremost theologians of the western church, Augustine of Hippo has greatly influenced the shape of Protestant theology as well as Catholic. However, our theological convictions also shape the way we read Augustine. This lecture will discuss the themes of Augustine's theology particularly appreciated among Protestants while encouraging all of us to be more aware of the lenses through which we read the tradition.
