March 2010 | Christianity and social justice
Civil rights statesman John M. Perkins will be the special guest on this month’s “Conversations from St. Norbert College” television show, hosted by dean and academic vice president Michael Marsden. Perkins is president of the John M. Perkins Foundation for Reconciliation and Development. Perkins and Marsden will discuss Christianity and social justice.

Perkins, a leading evangelical voice in the American civil rights movement, is an internationally renowned author, speaker, and teacher on issues of racial reconciliation and Christian community development. He has written nine books, received nine honorary doctorates and served on some 20 boards of directors, including those of World Vision and the National Association of Evangelicals.

“Conversations from St. Norbert College” is a weekly television show recorded, produced, edited and distributed at St. Norbert College. The program is hosted by Michael Marsden, dean and academic vice president of the college. For more than five years, the show has examined important social, political and educational issues. Viewers from Wisconsin and Upper Michigan can tune in to discussions with leading experts from St. Norbert College and beyond. The purpose of the show is to educate the public and keep St. Norbert in the public eye.
