February 2012 | College athletics leader Judy Sweet
Judy Sweet, a respected leader in intercollegiate athletics, will be the special guest on this month’s “Conversations from St. Norbert College” television show, hosted by Kevin Quinn (Economics). They will discuss the NCAA and gender equity initiatives.
Sweet served the NCAA as senior vice president for championships and education services. She has assisted organizations with gender equity assessments and strategies, testified on Title IX and served on more than 20 NCAA committees. Prior to her six years at the NCAA, she spent 24 years as athletics director for the University of California at San Diego.
In 2006, the NCAA named Sweet one of the 100 most influential student-athletes. The next year, the Institute for International Sports named her one of the 100 most influential sports educators in America.
