Job and internship fair connects students with the world of work
If you own a business and are in the market for new employees or interns, you’ll want to take advantage of the eighth annual Full-Time Job and Internship Fair Tuesday, Feb. 23.
“We are encouraging employers who have current openings to take advantage of this career fair,” says Jerry Donahue (Career Services). “It’s a cost-effective way to recruit top students in a timely fashion.
“There are companies who can’t recruit this year because of the down economy, so if you have jobs, it’s a great opportunity for you to recruit talented young people.”
The career fair targets employers looking for full-time entry-level employees and summer interns, Donahue adds.
The event runs 3-5 p.m. in the Ray Van Den Heuvel Family Campus Center. The cost to exhibitors is $75 per table for private sector firms, $37.50 for government and non-profit agencies. (This fee can be waived for non-profit or government agencies with no recruitment budget.)
Employers seeking candidates for full-time and internship positions can register online. The registration deadline is Feb. 9. For more details call (920) 403-3040 or e-mail careers@snc.edu.
