During the 2011-12 academic year, some 73 percent of St. Norbert students gave of themselves in one way or another through service. Their remarkable efforts now are supported by the Sturzl Center for Community Service and Learning, recently named for Ed ’71 and Ann ’72 Sturzl through a major gift from Sargento Foods and members of the Gentine family, Sargento’s owners.
The Sturzls and Gentines were on hand for the service-learning center’s dedication, which took place during the college’s Celebrating Service event on April 26, 2012. This video coverage shows them as they join students, staff and other alums in attendance in sharing their passion for service.
