For 18 years,
U.S. News & World Report has ranked St. Norbert College among the top comprehensive colleges in the Midwest. In their 2008 guide to “America’s Best Colleges” St. Norbert was ranked among America’s best liberal arts colleges.
St. Norbert was named one of “The Best in the Midwest” by
The Princeton Review's Best 366 Colleges. The goal of the Princeton Review's is to identify some of the colleges and universities that stand out within each region.
The
National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA) awarded the
Paul Simon Award to St. Norbert as one of the nation's top five institutions of higher learning in campus internationalization.
Yemisi Adeyemi ‘04, St. Norbert alum who graduated at age 19 with a major in pre-med said, "As I reflect back on my experiences at St. Norbert College, I can truly say that it has helped shaped the person that I am today. St. Norbert instilled in me values that direct my actions today and that will impact on my future. St. Norbert prepared me not only for the vigor of medical school, but also for real life experiences."

During a recent visit to St. Norbert College to promote the
Wisconsin Covenant, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle said, "We are really thankful for St. Norbert College, and private colleges in the State of Wisconsin, who have voluntarily agreed to be a part of the Wisconsin Covenant. We are deeply appreciative of it." The Governor was joined on campus by 120 eighth-grade students from the area, all anxious to hear about the promise of the covenant, which ensures that high school students who maintain a B average and are good citizens are guaranteed a spot in one of the colleges or universities in the state, private or public, and a financial aid package to make it affordable.
St. Norbert College Study Abroad is the only 4-year college in the Midwest to successfully participate in the
Forum on Education Abroad's, National Standards Pilot Program for study abroad professionals (2006-2007).
The
Council for Advancement and Support Education (CASE) has named the Office of Communications at St. Norbert College a silver medal winner of its 2007 Circle of Excellence awards program. The award was earned at the “Pride of CASE V Awards” in the category of “Best Electronic Newsletter” for the June, 2007 edition of their
@St. Norbert E-Newsletter.
Jim Schmitt ‘80, Mayor of Green Bay said, "The St. Norbert alumni help make this community prosper. They're well-educated, they have a great value system, and they seem to have an extra commitment to the community. And that's what you need to make a community grow."
Colleges of Distinction, a college guide that selects and profiles 150 of the best colleges to learn, grow and succeed in the nation, said, "St. Norbert College provides a personal, hands-on education. Starting in the first year, students engage in research, internships, study abroad programs and on-campus organizations - experiences that make them well-rounded, sought-after graduates."
David Habiger ‘91, St. Norbert alum, president and CEO of
Sonic Solutions said, "St. Norbert College has led to lifelong friendships and provided me with an exceptional education. Many schools provide an excellent education, but few offer such a caring and supporting community. This winning combination gave me a foundation and confidence to follow my dreams."
St. Norbert was ranked “very competitive” in
Barron's “Profiles of American Colleges,” America’s most authoritative source for information on colleges and universities.
Students Marissa Greuel '08, Linda Gruber '08 and Carlee Kocon '08, were awarded $10,000
Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges Inc. Rath Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded for demonstrating personal characteristics of leadership, community service and academic excellence. This is the first time three students from one institution have received Rath Scholarships at the same time.
Mark Gaber '05, a political science and international economics double major, was selected as a recipient of the 2004
Harry S. Truman Scholarship. Gaber was one of 77 students selected out of 609 candidates throughout the nation. Candidates are selected on the basis of leadership potential, intellectual ability, and likelihood of 'making a difference.'
In 2002,
Kaplan/Newsweek College Catalog named St. Norbert a “top school.”

More than 95% of SNC seniors report being satisfied or very satisfied with their overall college experience compared to 85% of seniors nationally.
Acquired skills
When asked to compare their current skills with their skills when freshmen, 94% of graduating seniors describe themselves as “stronger” or “much stronger” in critical thinking and problem-solving.
Sense of community
More than 87% of SNC seniors report satisfaction with the overall sense of community on campus, roughly 20% higher than the national average.
Political participation
96% of SNC seniors reported recently voting in a state or national election compared to 80% nationally.
