Dudley Birder Chorale to present 36th annual All Saints Day concert at St. Norbert College
Friday, Oct 30 at 7:30 p.m.

The 36th annual Dudley Birder All Saints Day concert will take place on Friday, Oct 30, at 7:30 p.m. in St. Norbert College's Walter Theatre, Abbot Pennings Hall of Fine Arts.

This year's program will feature two diverse choral masterworks, Antonio Vivaldi's "Beatus Vir" written in 1742 for two choirs, two string orchestras, oboe, two organs and soloists; and John Rutter's captivatingly melodious "Requiem." The concert will also include "O Light of Life!" by Mack Milberg, the tradition Tribute to Loved ones, "In Paradisum" from Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem," and Dudley Birder's own vocal and orchestral arrangement of Vaughan Williams' "For All the Saints." Soloists for the program are Emily Brandt (Green Bay) and Yi-Lan Nui, assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College. The string orchestras will consist of the principal players from the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra.

The Dudley Birder Chorale is currently in its 36th season as a performing group. Established in 1974, the Chorale has appeared twice at Carnegie Hall, and has appeared with the Green Bay Symphony for the past 12 years in an annual Holiday Pops concert. The 150-voice Chorale is comprised of adult singers from more than 30 communities in Northeast Wisconsin, who come together to sing great choral literature. Members audition on the basis of vocal quality and basic musicianship, and range in age from 16 to 80 years old.

Tickets for the Dudley Birder Chorale All Saints Day Concert are $20 for Rows A-U, and $15 Rows for V-Z. They are available for purchase online at tickets.snc.edu, or via phone at (920) 403-3950, or (800) 762-2699 if outside the Green Bay area. TTY/TDD (920) 403-4056, fax (920) 403-4081.
