About Us
Who are we?
The Counseling Center at St. Norbert College is staffed by psychologists and counselors who are experienced professionals with a special interest in working with college students. We're dedicated to helping students with transitions, emotional difficulties and mental health concerns. We help by listening carefully, asking useful questions and offering suggestions or recommendations.
How can we help?
Students are encouraged to access the Counseling Center with any concern, however small or large it may seem. Generally speaking, the sooner a situation is discussed the better, even if the student is unsure whether or not the situation is "a real problem." Many students simply seek information or consultation without wanting counseling, and the Counseling Center is available to assist students in those situations.
Referrals
If we encounter problems which require expertise we do not have, we make referrals to appropriate professionals in the community.
