Philanthropies

Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation
The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation was established in 1967 in honor of our fiftieth anniversary. Through grants and loans, the foundation assists members and their children to complete their education or continue with graduate studies. The Educational Foundation also provides funding for educational programs and leadership training for undergraduate members and advisers.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the official philanthropy of the sorority since 1958, is the recipient of funds raised by chapters to support research to find a cure for CF and to improve the quality of life for the 30,000 children and young adults with the disease. In 1992, scientists discovered the gene that, when mutated, causes CF; however, a cure for CF has not yet been found. In appreciation of the sorority's fundraising efforts, the CFF named a research fellowship in honor of Delta Phi Epsilon. Over one million dollars has been raised to date for the CFF through Delta Phi Epsilon.

The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders
Since 1985, the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) has been an additional recipient of our fundraising efforts. ANAD is a national organization dedicated to alleviating problems of anorexia and other eating disorders. Its methods include education, newsletters, counseling, self-help groups and providing funds for research.
The ANAD Candlelight Vigil as been selected as Delta Phi Epsilon's International Service Day Event, in order to raise awareness of dangers of eating disorders. On this day, chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States and Canada host ANAD Candlelight Vigils.

Emily Galotta Foundation
In memory of one of our sisters, the Beta Chi chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon raises money  to help our New Members with their first semester of dues. Emily was a talented artist and beloved sister, who lived a tragically short life. Her memory will live on.
