DU Loves Nichole! In the spring of 2009, the brothers of Delta Upsilon chose the beautiful Nichole Roloff to be their Queen. All about Nichole: Major: Psychology with Communication Minor Hometown: New London, Wisconsin Organization: Untouchables Graduation: May 2010 What has your experience been with Delta Upsilon so far? It has been fantastic, the gentlemen of DU have been awesome. : ) What is the best thing about of being Delta Upsilon's Queen? Getting to know all the guys in Delta Upsilon and getting to experience Greek Life here at SNC.The brothers of Delta Upsilon have been privelged to have Professor Steve Westergan as their Faculty Advisor. All about Steve: How long have you been teaching at St. Nobert? I have been teaching at SNC for about 18 years. What classes do you teach? I regularly teach "Introduction to the Humanities" (HUMA 100), "College Writing"(IDIS 100), "Introduction to Literature" (ENGL 150), and "Readings in Latin" (LATN 203). Occasionally I'm able to offer a course on Dante's Divine Comedy (ENGL 321). What has your experience as DU's adviser been like? Recently I was talking with a close friend, who's known me since the late '80's, and she said, "You know, you've become more relaxed over the years; advising that fraternity has been good for you." I absolutely agree with her. Being continually welcomed by the guys in the group and their queens, semester after semester (for over ten years), and talking with them at meetings and around campus, playing kickball, raking leaves during Make a Difference Day, socializing at dances, attending pledging events, participating in the Wheelchair Bowl and Homecoming -- all of this has changed me, making me less introverted and less bookish, and more social, more normal, more human. It is an honor to be DU's advisor. |
