Starting your job search is very exciting. When applying for your first teaching position you should have your credentials completed. Some students start sending out their credentials in January and February. They typically send out numerous sets of credentials. Timing is an important issue.
If you are planning on student teaching overseas, please make sure your credential is as complete as it can be before you leave. Please let the education office know your e-mail address where you would like the job listing sent. If you would like credentials sent while you are overseas, please ask a friend or family member to notify the education office with a completed
Credential Request Form. We will do our best to honor emergency requests, but any such request must be followed up by the student with written authorization.
St. Norbert College offers many opportunities to develop your interviewing skills.
Career Services offers the networks as well as mock interview relays. Through these experiences you will be in contact with many prospective employers. Some of these interviews have been known to result in a teaching position.

Once you receive your teaching position, please notify the education office at (920) 403-3004 or e-mail us at:
teacherplacement@snc.edu and let us know 1) what you are teaching and grade level, 2) the school in which you are teaching and 3) the city and state. We keep track of this data for our program and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Once you have signed a contract, we strongly urge you not to break it. Breaking a contract does not reflect well on you or St. Norbert College.
