Professional profile
I joined the faculty in 2004 as director of teacher education, now chair of teacher education. Much of my time during the first two years was spent in writing the Institutional Review and compiling the associated evidence for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Accreditation Review.
With the program fully accredited for another five years, I will be focusing on spending more time with the students and faculty in a variety of settings, completing a full curriculum audit of each of our certification programs, further refinement of our assessment system and developing and formalizing partnerships with area P-12 schools.
I have over 30 years experience in education as a classroom teacher, school counselor and college professor. I am dedicated to the field of education and believe that teacher education is a necessity for preparing quality teachers. I am honored to be a part of a quality teacher education program associated with such excellent students and faculty.
My research interests are in the area of assessment, especially classroom assessment and its integration with classroom instruction, and professionalism as it relates to teaching. |
