Michael Skivington

Professional profile
Michael Skivington is assistant professor of education with a specialization in special education and has been at St. Norbert College since 2006. As a specialist in special education, he teaches classes in the sophomore block dealing with the instruction of students with disabilities for general education pre-service students pursuing elementary and secondary education licenses. Additionally, he is currently teaching classes within the adaptive education add-on certification program.

Dr. Skivington’s current research interests include the intersection of special education and those populations from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Transition from school to post school life for students with disabilities continues to be a research, policy and programmatic area of interest for Dr. Skivington.
