Professional profile
As an educator of future teachers, I have the pleasure of working with a variety of students. Their individual certification levels range from the youngest students in early childhood to late adolescents in secondary school. I believe in modeling effective teaching practices while encouraging students to develop their own teaching style.
I am the director of the master of science in education program at St. Norbert College. The two-year, cohort based program is designed for veteran teachers interested in critical thinking and professional decision-making.
My research interests include adolescent and children’s literature. Specifically, I focus on ways for teachers to include literature within their content area curriculum. An important aspect of this research involves helping teachers incorporate a diverse range of literature within their teaching on a regular basis. |
