Study abroad

St. Norbert College is an international institution that greatly encourages students to study abroad. Study abroad is a key element in receiving a well-balanced education.

Study abroad myths

Study abroad costs too much.

Fact: Study abroad costs about the same as attending St. Norbert College and can even be cheaper with good planning. St. Norbert College subsidizes attendance at its study abroad sites with institutional aid.

Study abroad does not fit with my academic program
Fact: Students plan out with a study abroad adviser a schedule that allows them to fit it in their program. Students do not fall behind in their academic schedule by studying abroad. General Education (areas 10 & 11), as well as required and elective business courses are available at St. Norbert College sites abroad.

It’s dangerous to travel abroad.
Fact: St. Norbert College sends its students to only the most prestigious international institutions of higher education. These institutions have excellent support services for their foreign student visitors. Further, St. Norbert College cares for its students and will never send them into a dangerous or even potentially dangerous situation. We monitor U.S. State Department reporting on our participant nations daily.

  • Visit the St. Norbert College study abroad web site.
  • Discuss academic options with your faculty advisor.
  • Meet with the study abroad staff to consider the exciting possibilities for your future.
