Equipment
The environmental science faculty members are constantly working to update and expand our technological capabilities through the purchase of new equipment and software. Recent acquisitions include:
- 27' research vessel capable of braving the waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay
- High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system for the analysis of plant pigments and organic pollutants
- YSI 6920 multiprobe for the simultaneous measurement of seven key water quality parameters
- Campbell dataloggers for long term, in situ monitoring of streams
- Geographical Information System (GIS) software for the analysis of spatial data
