ESL Institute Fees and Session Dates
What will it cost to study in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program?
Application, Arrival and Orientation
- ESL application fee: $50
- SNC application fee: $50 (for conditional admission applications)
- Arrival and orientation fee: $50
- Optional: FedEx express mail service for admission documents: $50
- Optional: Linens (sheets, blanket, pillow, towels, etc.): $160
Fees: Academic Year (August 29, 2011 to May 2012)*
Each month of study will cost about $2,200.
This price includes:
- ESL tuition: $1,070 each month.
- College dormitory: average cost is $515 per month**
- College meal plan (required): meal plans start at $310 per month***
- Books: about $60 each month ($250 for one semester)
- Health insurance: about $90 per month
- Activity fee: $30 each month
*School fees normally increase about 4% each year in September.
**Dormitory costs may be more or less than $120 each week. Each dormitory has a slightly different price.
***College college food services are closed on most holidays and during vacation times.

Each 5-week session costs:
- ESL Tuition: $1350
- Estimated College dormitory: $544 ($15.54 per night)
- Estimated Meals and Food Service: $100 - $500
- Books: $200 - $300
- Estimated Health Insurance: $119
- Activity Fee: $75
How can I pay the application fee and express mail fee?
There are several ways to pay the application fee:
1. Fax us credit card information and permission to charge your credit card.
2. Send a Bank Cheque payable to "St. Norbert College."
How can my parents send money to pay my tuition and school fees?
We suggest your family "wire" money directly to your student account in the St. Norbert College Finance Department. You will need your College ID number in order to complete the transaction. Ask us for your SNC ID number.

ESL session dates for 2011 - 2012:
- 2011, Fall 1, 8-week session: August 29 - October 21
- 2011, Fall 2, 8-week session: October 24 - December 16
- 2012, Spring 1: 8-week session: January 16 - March 9
- 2012, Spring 2: 8-week session: March 19 - May 11
- 2012, Summer 1: May 21- June 22
- 2012, Summer 2: June 25 - July 27
