Local InformationAmerica’s Heartland
Our campus is located in De Pere, Wisconsin, a suburb of Green Bay, with about 22,000 people. Green Bay has a metropolitan population of about 230,000 people and is located about 3 hours by car from Chicago; 2 hours from Milwaukee; 2 hours from Madison; and about 4.5 hours from Minneapolis.
The weather in De Pere changes frequently. From September to May, temperatures range from 0°F to 70°F (-18°C to 18°C) with both rain and snow. In the summer, temperatures range from 60°F to 90°F (16°C to 32°C); it is mostly warm (often hot and humid) with generally clear skies. You’ll need both lightweight clothing and warm winter clothes, in addition to an umbrella and raincoat. Of course, clothing for all types of weather is available in local stores and shops.
Buses and taxis are available for local public transportation. St. Norbert College students, faculty and staff can ride the Green Bay Metro bus line free with their student identification card. We don’t have a subway system in the area. Students often choose to walk or rent a car. You may bring an international driver’s license with you when you come or apply for a Wisconsin license once you arrive.

We’ll plan a number of activities and shopping trips to show you around the area – within and outside of De Pere.
