Ikuko Torimoto is associate professor of Japanese at St. Norbert College. She is a native of Japan and earned her doctorate at Western Michigan University.
She is the author of SAT II: Japanese (1992), and at present, is conducting research on Japanese immigrants to the U.S., which will lead to a book about Kyuin Okina, who lived on the West Coast at the turn of the century and chronicled his experiences in a monumental diary published upon his return to Japan.
