Spanish Club also plays an integral part in the planning and organization of St. Norbert College’s annual Fiesta Hispanica, a celebration of Hispanic culture and people in Brown County and throughout Wisconsin and the United States. Fiesta Hispanica occurs each spring and attracts approximately 275 people, including students, faculty and staff of St. Norbert College, as well as members of the surrounding Brown County community. In addition, the Spanish club offers a variety of dynamic outreach opportunities that unite St. Norbert and the surrounding Hispanic community of Brown County. Students have provided daycare for the children of Hispanic parents at St. Willebrord’s Church of Green Bay, worked with the Salvation Army to identify families in need and collaborated with accounting students from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay to assist the Hispanic community in the completion of their tax forms. The faculty adviser for the Spanish club is Dr. John Day. Learn more about diverse, ethnic and cultural student organizations on campus. - |
