How to Submit an Online Housing Application
IMPORTANT NOTE: Submit additional applications as a back-up plan.
Students should submit different online applications with other lottery numbers
for all housing possibilities. A
back-up plan should be considered in case your group is not assigned their
first, second or third choice.
The following steps need to be completed before attempting to fill out the online housing form.
| Step 1: |
Read
the Continuing Student Housing Selection Guide and information on the REH
website.
|
| Step 2: |
Review the application deadlines for each housing
option. See timeline for specific application due dates. Decide who you want to live with. |
| Step 3: |
Determine
the lowest lottery number for your group. The individual with the lowest
lottery number needs to fill out one application for the group.
|
| Step 4: |
The
group needs to determine what housing choice(s) to apply for. Make sure that
each person in the group has paid the $100 housing deposit. The application requires the email address of
each person. Only complete applications with
all members having paid the deposit will be processed (ie. Townhouse needs 5
roommates plus individual completing application; Burke triple needs 2 roommates
plus the individual completing the application).
|
| Step 5: |
Rank
the order of your housing choices in the comment section of the application and
provide specific information about your preferences. Example: Of the above housing choices, my preferences would be:
1)5 –person houses
1a):
420 4th
1b):
417 College
2) Gries Hall
3) Townhouse

If there is a question with a
group’s or individual’s application, an REH staff member will contact the
individual whose lottery number was listed on the application. It is the responsibility of the individual
with the lottery number on the application to discuss questions with all of
their chosen roommates.
NOTE:
The
online housing application can be used for all housing options, except for the
ones listed below.
A separate paper application process will be used to apply for Theme Houses, Commuter
Status, Michels Hall Service Program and the International Living Communities
(Rectory or Convent).
