Professional profile Rachael Baker joined the Office of Residential Education and Housing as the Program Coordinator and Residence Hall Director in February of 2011. Her primary responsibilities include implementation of campus-wide programming as well as overseeing the communities of Victor McCormick Hall and Michels Hall. Rachael is also serving as the advisor for the Residence Hall Association and the National Residence Hall Honorary.
Rachael prior to joining the SNC team worked with a pre-college program at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside called Ready Rangers, which was a program aimed at introducing 5th grade students in the Racine and Kenosha areas to the college experience and getting them connected with a Role Model. Prior to that she served as a Residence Director at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA for 2 years overseeing approximately 1100 First Year Students. Rachael has also served as a Hall Director at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside while earning her graduate degree. She also has experience with Greek Life as an advisor, First Year Experience, Multicultural Services, and Orientation programs.
Rachael graduated from Concordia University-Mequon in 2008 with a Master of Student Personnel Administration. Prior to persuing her Master's Degree, Rachael graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Spanish. Rachael also obtained her Paralegal certification from Carthage College.
Rachael's favorite pastimes include reading and watching movies. Anything in the entertainment realm have been hobbies and she can often be found at the nearest movie theatre on a Friday night to see the newest release. She also enjoys scrapbooking and just spending time with friends and family.
