Application for summer housing
Summer 2009 housing spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Summer housing is available from Saturday, May 16th until Friday, Aug. 14th. Students interested in summer housing, should complete the 2009 Summer Housing application (PDF).
Summer housing options
Summer housing options are available in Mad/Lor and Sensenbrenner Halls.
$12 per person/day (limited space) (May 17 - Aug 14)
Remaining in a townhouse or college-owned house
Students who are currently living in a college-owned house or townhouse and are planning to take May term classes, may apply to stay in their current assignment past May 18th. The latest students may stay in those assignments is June 7th, unless they are completing a student teaching assignment. The resident's student teaching schedule will determine the length of their housing extension.
The cost to remain in a college-owned house or townhouse is $15.50 per person/day plus utilities. The house located at 320 Marsh St. is not available for the May term extension.
Summer housing check-in
Students will check in with a summer staff member. Summer residents moving into Sensenbrenner, Mad/Lor, a townhouse or college-owned house for the summer directly from their academic year assignment, will be contacted by Residential Education and Housing when their room is available. Students must move out of their academic year assignment within 24 hours of being notified that their summer room is available.
Billing
The housing rates have been established on a daily basis. Students will be charged according to the dates requested on the Summer Housing application (PDF).
A written notice must be provided to the Department of Residential Education and Housing one week in advance for a cancellation of the contract.
Summer housing check-out
All students need to check out according to the date indicated on the summer housing form, or by Aug. 14th. A check-out time needs to be scheduled with the summer housing assistant or the Department of Residential Education and Housing. A staff member will check the room condition, collect keys and verify that the room is clean. If a student fails to check out on the date and time indicated on the application, a $75 improper checkout fine will be assessed.
Early arrival for fall housing
Students wishing to arrive early on campus must fill out an Early Arrival Application and turn it into the Residential Education and Housing office before August 7th, 2009. For more information about early arrivals click here.
