After that date, your application will be considered based on availability.

Gries Hall temporary housing
If you are interested in housing after the residence halls close until Gries Hall opens on June 1, a Gries Summer Temporary Housing application needs to be completed.

Remaining in a Townhouse or College-Owned House
Students who are currently living in a college-owned house or townhouse and are planning to take May term classes, may apply to stay in their current assignment past May 17. The latest students may stay in those assignments is June 6, unless they are completing a student teaching assignment. The resident's student teaching schedule will determine the length of their housing extension.

The cost to remain in a college-owned house or townhouse is $18.00 per person/day utilities included.

Summer Housing Check-In
Students will check in with a summer staff member. Summer residents moving into Sensenbrenner, Mad/Lor, a townhouse or college-owned house for the summer directly from their academic year assignment, will be contacted by Residential Education and Housing when their room is available. Students must move out of their academic year assignment within 24 hours of being notified that their summer room is available.

Billing Summer housing billing begins on Sunday, May 15, 2011. The housing rates have been established on a daily basis. Students will be charged according to the dates requested on the Summer Housing application.

A one-week notice in writing is required  to the Department of Residential Education and Housing in order to void the summer housing contract.

Summer Housing Check-Out
All students need to check out according to the date indicated on the summer housing form, or by Aug. 5. A check-out time needs to be scheduled with the summer housing assistant or the Department of Residential Education and Housing. A staff member will check the room condition, collect keys and verify that the room is clean. If a student fails to check out on the date and time indicated on the application, a $75 improper checkout fine will be assessed.
