- Supervising 4 full-time, 1 part-time and student employees
- Directing and scheduling daily work of staff
- Purchasing all grounds materials and supplies
- Writing programs and setting standards for turf care, athletic fields, parking lots, sidewalks, plant and shrub maintenance, snow removal, streets, vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance, indoor plant maintenance, trees, flowers and site furniture
- Coordinating snow removal and directing snow removal crew
- Designing landscape projects
- Designing, investigating and providing cost estimates for project requests
- Inspecting campus and researching plant biology issues
- Providing landscape design review on major capital projects
- Project managing grounds and athletic facilities improvements to upgrade and expand the campus

Experience:
The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma; 2 years of grounds maintenance experience; 2 years of supervisory experience; well-developed communication and organizational skills; and the ability to forecast and manage department budgets.
