Assistant Professor of Clinical/Counseling Psychology — Full Time
St. Norbert College invites applications for a tenure track position in Clinical or Counseling Psychology to begin in August 2015. The successful candidate will teach courses related to clinical and counseling psychology (on such topics as personality, psychological testing, approaches to psychotherapy and abnormal behavior in childhood), share responsibility for teaching a required course (general psychology, basic statistics, or research methods), and supervise undergraduates completing internships in mental health/social service settings. Courses on other topics of interest to the successful candidate are also welcome. Faculty members typically teach three four-credit courses each semester.

Faculty members also serve as academic advisors to students, share in faculty governance as members of faculty and college committees, and maintain ongoing programs of research.

Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. or Psy.D. from APA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology programs and who have completed their APA-accredited predoctoral internship by the time of employment are preferred. However, well-qualified ABD candidates are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will become a member of a five-person psychology discipline that serves about 170 majors and minors ( The current members represent a broad array of subfields and share a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates and to collaborating with or supervising them in research and/or internship activities. Psychology faculty offices, teaching assistant office and five psychology labs are housed in a newly renovated, state of the art science building.
