Assistant Professor of Education — Full Time
St. Norbert College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in its Education discipline, to begin in August 2015. We seek an individual who can contribute to our Teacher Education Program through multiple aspects of teaching, scholarship, and service.

Specifically, we seek candidates who have strong teaching and research skills in Secondary (6-12) Education. The ideal candidate will have teaching expertise in the social studies, especially in one or more of the following: history, psychology, secondary foundations, and assessment of secondary students. The position requires a doctorate; current ABDs with strong records will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly research; advise students; and provide appropriate service to the College, the profession, and the community. Appropriate licensure and teaching experience in a secondary setting is strongly preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate can expect to be active in the following:
- Support the Teacher Education Program's transition to Taskstream as our e-portfolio platform.
- Contribute to the continuous process of preparing our students and curriculum for the statewide adoption of the edTPA as the basis of the state-required student portfolio.
- Participate fully in the revision of our secondary sophomore block experience, both course content and field experience.
- Join all Education faculty in representing the Teacher Education Program and St. Norbert College at various local and regional events dedicated to public and private P-12 schools, students, and their families as appropriate.
