Assistant Professor of Art — Full Time
St. Norbert College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Sculpture/3D Design in its Art discipline, beginning in the Fall Semester of 2015.

Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced courses in sculpture and Three Dimensional Design, and other studio or Art Survey courses. Collegial duties include shared Art program oversight and contributing to the operations of the 3D studio area, including attention to safety issues and OSHA compliance. Also expected are typical committee, advisement, and other institutional service.

Masters of Fine Art degree required; two years of teaching beyond graduate school preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication and achievement in teaching and scholarship, with expertise and professional creative work in traditional and contemporary sculptural and 3D Design practices and in college-level studio art education.

The candidate must be skilled in a range of 3D practices and techniques. Desired skills may include material knowledge of traditional sculptural practices, contemporary and emerging practices, including interdisciplinary media and community engagement. Applicants must have a broad understanding of traditional and contemporary art practices, art history, art theory, and criticism.
