Dr. Hassan Abbas, BBC Correspondent and Harvard Law School Visiting Professor
We are honored to have Dr Hassan Abbas, an internationally renowned expert on the Middle East and Pakistan, join us for our final segment of the Great Decisions Speaker Series. Dr. Abbas is a BBC Correspondent on the Middle East and has appeared on a variety of American news shows, including CSNBC and CNN. Rather than discuss early or late pull-out strategies for Iraq, he will discuss the far more interesting question of what will happen within Iraq when the United States Armed Forces finally pull out of the country, as well as the "ripple effect" that such action will have on the economics, politics, and religious balances in the rest of the Middle East.
