With degrees in New Testament Studies and Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Lucas Introna has a wide range of experience in both the business and academic worlds, and is a recognized expert on the Philosophy of Technology.  Professor Introna examines the profound impact of technology on human relations, specifically the ethical implications of technology for society, including issues such as virtuality, privacy and surveillance, and the relation between information and power.  His recent articles have discussed the meaning of screens, the political site of the ATM, and systems for the discussion of plagiarism.” Introna’s most recent book, currently in press, is Phenomenology, Organisation and Technology, co-edited with F. Ilharco and E. Fay.
