Children's Language and Culture Programming
Fact: Research shows that by learning a foreign language in elementary school, your child can seize a window of opportunity now to develop lifelong abilities and skills.
Let us help give your child a view of the world.

Pre-Collegiate Children's Language Institute
The Children's Language Institute teaches language classes in Spanish and French to first through sixth graders during the school year. Classes are held both, on campus and at several area elementary schools. The instructors are St. Norbert College students majoring in Spanish, French and/or education.
The program is based on a nationally recognized elementary language curriculum and is normed to the Wisconsin Department of Instruction proficiencies. Although our program is well grounded in educational methodology and our teachers are fully trained, the children who participate only realize how engaging it is to work with young, energetic, St. Norbert College students; creating art projects, singing songs, playing games and generally having fun! There are no tests, quizzes or mandatory homework assignments.
This collaboration between Language Services and area public and private schools is vital to the language needs of elementary schools.
The PCLI has served more than 1,900 students since the program began in the fall of 2000. Our after school language enrichment program is currently offered in 9 elementary schools throughout the local area. Classes are also held on the beautiful St. Norbert campus. Private classes or individual tutorials are also available in multiple languages and can be tailored to fit the needs of your child.
