The Children's Language Institute teaches foreign language classes in Spanish to first through sixth graders. Classes are held both on campus and at several area elementary schools. St. Norbert College students majoring in Spanish and/or education are the instructors. The program uses a nationally recognized curriculum.

This collaboration between Language Services and area public and private schools is vital to the language needs of elementary schools. Studies have shown that learning a foreign language early helps with learning English and helps the students’ ability to reason later in life.

The Children’s Language Institute has served more than 1,200 students since the program began in the fall of 2000. Our after school Spanish enrichment program is currently offered in 9 elementary schools throughout the De Pere/Green Bay area. Private classes or individual tutorials are also available in multiple languages and can be tailored to fit the needs of your child.
