Sue Beno will be teaming up with former culinary arts instructor, Jon Lutgen, to offer this workshop on Easter Traditions.
Participants will make stuffed carrots, dilled fresh pea soup, rhubarb chutney, a Russian/Ukraine Easter bread called Paska or Kulich and an Italian Easter cake called Colomba Pasquale cake.
Sue Beno brings years of cooking expertise to the table. She instructs cooking and nutrition classes at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Cook's Corner, and the Farm Market Kitchen. For several years, Beno owned and operated her own restaurant, Cafe Susan, in Bellevue, Wis. She serves on the board of directors of the Farm Market Kitchen in Algoma, Wis., and teaches Zumba classes at the Green Bay and De Pere YWCAs.
Jon Lutgen brings years of experience and training to the class. He is a graduate of culinary school in California and has worked in various ethnic restaurants. Jon operated a successful a catering business before becoming a teacher of high school culinary arts. He served on the advisory committee for Fox Valley Technical College’s culinary school and is a certified ServSafe instructor for NWTC and FVTC.
