As owner of Seize the Day Events, Ms. Hess has a multitude of responsibilities. Primarily, Ms. Hess designs and coordinates weddings and special events.
Kate, in conjunction with her sister Rebecca George and mother Peggy George, founded Seize the Day Events in 2006. Upon its inception, her primary roles include setting up a marketing strategy, selecting inventory and expanding the corporate reach.
Even with the tremendous success of Seize the Day Events, Kate's determination opened up a new corporate division, making Seize the Day Events even more profitable. For the past three years, Kate has doubled the company's corporate business each year. And she is just getting started. Businesses which have used Seize the Day Events for their events have come back again and again. These businesses include Fortune 500 companies, as well as non-profit organizations.
In addition to six years of wedding and event planning experience, Ms. Hess is an Accredited Bridal Consultant through the Association of Bridal Consultants, a Certified Wedding Planner through the Wedding Planning Institute, and she has been honored with two volunteer service awards through Junior Achievement. Seize the Day Events has won the Bride’s Choice Awards through Wedding Wire in 2011 and 2012, as well as The Knot's 2012 Best of Wedding Professionals - one of only two event planning companies in the state of Wisconsin. Ms. Hess is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, and the Northeast Wisconsin Wedding Professionals. Her works have been featured on Fox11, Premier Bride Magazine, and with Visuelle Productions. Seize the Day Events has sponsored the largest Wedding show produced by PMI since 2011.
Before opening Seize the Day Events in 2006, Ms. Hess was an Economic Development Planner serving eight counties throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Primary responsibilities included project management and grant administration for public infrastructure and public facilities projects. She and her husband, Andy live in Green Bay with their three children.
