The Mulva Library is the hub of student academic life on campus. Home to more than 247,000 volumes, including books, journals and other serials, microforms, maps and charts, it also offers amazing places to study.

Extending Classroom Walls

Course reserves function as an extension of the classroom. Copies of assigned readings, supplemental readings, previous tests and other materials are made available for short-term loan (print copies) or are scanned and made available as PDFs to enrich the learning experience.

There are two types of reserve materials:

  • Traditional reserves consist of physical copies of items. These materials are located behind the library information desk and circulate for a limited time. They may be checked out for 2-hour, one-day, two-day or one-week periods depending on the preference of your instructor. Reserve listings can be accessed from the catalog. Reserve materials must be returned to the information desk.
  • Electronic reserves consist of items accessed via the catalog, including links to articles in any of the librarys full-text databases. They are available in PDF format.
Visit the course reserves web page for complete information on how to reserve and how to access materials.
