Events and Programs
The vitality at St. Norbert College can be seen in the hustle and bustle of the events and programs that occur in the Mulva Library.
Human Library @ SNC
An event inspired by stories of those around us, Human Library @ SNC gives people an intimate opportunity to share personal stories. The Human Library is coordinated by the Mulva Library and the Cassandra Voss Center.
Makers @ the Mulva
Makers @ the Mulva invites campus and community members of all ages to create, innovate and share in a variety of projects, from crafts to tech-inspired DIY.
An annual day reserved to celebrate the larger St. Norbert College Community, SNC Day brings students, alumni, the community, and their families together for a full day of activities. The library hosts a variety of events, even acting as the start point of the Don Schneider Memorial Run.
In June incoming first-year students are invited onto campus for two full days of activities to kick off their college experience. One of the highlights for the library is the Todd Wehr Hall resource fair where we get to chat with incoming students and their parents about the countless resources we provide students during their academic journey.
Move-In Day and Week of Welcome
Every August incoming first-year students move onto campus and transition into their new roles during Week of Welcome. Say hello to library staff members helping out as a part of “Kunkel’s Krew,” and drop by the library for a breather or to catch up with classmates.
We also have tours during Week of Welcome! Check out the library and learn about resources for your first year on campus. Tours start at 1 p.m. by the library information desk.
There’s usually something going on in the library each week! Our classrooms and meeting rooms provide space for sessions like the Social Sciences Research Forum, the McNair Scholars presentations, and the Collaborative’s spring showcase of original research by students in the Mulva Studio.
We also hold small-scale events and meetings integral to student life such as SGA meetings, student organization activities, tutoring, film showings and discussions, and more! We encourage groups looking to foster intellectual development to find a home in the Mulva Library.
