How do you cite information found on the internet, world wide web, electronic databases or even an e-mail message? Consult one of the above guides for guidelines and specific examples. For assistance, please stop by the information desk or consult with a reference librarian. Always check with your professor to make sure that you follow class requirements for citation preferences.
Just like when citing print resources, you should include all of the necessary information. If some of the required information is not available (for example, a web page with no author), cite everything that is available. Finally, make sure you always write down all of the information you'll need to cite the source at the time when you print or download it—you may never be able to find it again!!! Remember, it's better to be safe than sorry: if you're not sure what you need, write down everything.
