The ultimate purpose of the ROTC program is to provide college-trained officers for the regular Army, U.S. Army Reserve and the Army National Guard. The student who successfully completes the advanced ROTC program and receives a baccalaureate degree is eligible for commissioning as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army (active or reserve).
