John Pini Faith Exploration and Community Building Coordinator
High School: Mundelein High School Major: English/Philosophy Home Church: The Chapel (Libertyville, Ill.)
Goals/hopes as a member of the Campus Ministry Team:
I want to instill the joy in others that I have found in Jesus. College campuses are abundant with broken people, and St.Norbert is no exception. I have been blessed by God to be put in many positions to spread his love and message of grace. I hope to present Christianity as characterized by love, compassion, appropriate conviction, and most importantly Christ. I remember the day when I transformed from an intellectual, church attending "Christian" to understanding, and accepting God as my Father. In my many failures it may not always be evident, but there is an inexplicable difference between these two states of being, and I wish to expose it.
Favorite place to pray/reflect on campus: Night Owl, the large oak behind Burke, and Old St. Joe's
Favorite scripture: Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important--C.S. Lewis
Favorite thing ot eat in the Cafe: Chef Dan's Chili
Favorite fun thing to do on the weekends at SNC: See a concert, ski, workout
