Course Description
In this course students will read ancient epics that establish a context for the classical achievement.  Students will also have a brief view of post-classical epic to the influence of Homer, Virgil, and their times.  These works have all proven culturally foundational, and their resonances powerfully affect out literature, art and thought to this day.
