Professional profile 
Julie Friedman has been with St. Norbert College since 1993, initially working in the Young Artist Workshops until 1997 and in College Advancement from 1998-2003. She joined the Division of Mission and Heritage in 2005. In her new role with Divisional Affairs she helps promote and develop the core traditions of the College by supporting the work and professional development of colleagues in the Division of Mission and Student Affairs. 

She coordinates several community-building events throughout the year and performs administrative duties for the Senior Advisor to the VP for Mission and Student Affairs, to include planning, assessment, reporting and communication.

In addition to working part time at the College, Julie served as a photojournalist in the U.S. Army and the Wisconsin Army National Guard for 22 years. She deployed to Germany and Bosnia in 1997 and to Iraq in 2004, before retiring in 2005. She continues to use those skills here at SNC by writing articles about mission initiatives and taking photos for special events.
