Degree program Master of Theological Studies Admission requirements:
The Admissions Policy Committee will make admission decisions based on the above criteria as well as other guidelines it may establish to judge the candidate's readiness for graduate work in theology. Although the program has open enrollment, there are three admission deadlines throughout the year. These deadlines are strictly enforced to ensure students complete the personal interview requirement of the program. The dates are April 1 (summer applications), August 1 (fall applications) and December 1 (spring applications). Graduation requirements (32 credits):
These requirements are ordinarily to be completed within eight summers of the starting date of entrance into the program. Candidacy: All degree students are required to apply for candidacy for the master's degree upon completion of 15 credits. Students will be admitted to this candidacy on the basis of evidence that they are able to do graduate work successfully. Partial evidence will be the maintenance of a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and indications that they can be effective church ministers. Other Options: Students may also take courses for credit or audit. Requirements for Non-Degree students: 1. Official transcripts, demonstrating a minimum grade point average of 3.0, mailed by the college or university directly to the coordinator of the MTS program, evidencing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 2.
