Middle Level Honors Band Festival
For students in grades seven through nine.
Our annual Middle Level Honor Band will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014.
Our guest clinicians this year will be Mark Bowling and Jay Gilbert. Bowling serves on the music faculty of the Knox County Public Schools in Tennessee and Gilbert is director of bands at Doane College in Crete, Neb.. Both of these educators have conducted honor groups around the country and are very well known for their work with young musicians. We are very excited that these talented educators will be coming to our festival. Bowling will conduct the 7/8th Grade Band and Gilbert will conduct the 9th Grade Band.
To the right you will find links to the applications and the festival schedules. Feel free to duplicate the applications as needed and encourage your students to apply for this special event. Because space is limited, please advise them to send in their applications as soon as possible. Each application must include a director’s signature.
All applications must be received by the Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, deadline. The registration fee for the Middle Level Honor band will remain at $45 and includes lunch. Please do not send payment until final selections have been made.
Please consider giving your students this wonderful opportunity to explore great music, make new friends and experience a small part of college life. If you have any questions, please contact the director of bands, Michael Knight, at 920-403-3114 or at email@example.com.
