Music Department installs Honors Society

At the Honors Recital on May 1st the Music Department celebrated the inauguration of Saint Norbert's new chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda, the National Music Honor Society.  Pi Kappa Lambda national representative, Dr. Wilbur Fulbright, installed the music faculty as founding members and welcomed our first two student members, Jordan Kabat and Rebekah Knitt (SNC '12).

Student Musicians perform at 2012 Commencement

Music Education graduates Jamie Grabner and Brad Scatterday were selected, through audition, to lead music at this year's commencement ceremony. Jamie led the commencement band in the Saint Norbert Alma Mater and Brad sang the National Anthem.  Congratulations Jamie & Brad!

New performing arts facility named

St. Boniface Church was recently re-named Dudley Birder Hall, in honor of former professor Dudley Birder, and is slated for renovation as a new performing arts facility at St. Norbert College. Construction work will begin this summer, with completion scheduled for late October or November. A newly acquired practice organ will also be installed in the renovated facility. Beginning in the Spring of 2013, the Birder Chapel will host rehearsals for the Birder Chorale, recitals, concerts and a variety of other campus events.  Congratulations Dudley!
