Dr. Linda Klein Cook joined the faculty of St. Norbert College in the fall of 1993 after a successful freelance career in New York City. Throughout her performing career, Dr. Cook has been principal trumpet of the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Wisconsin Brass Quintet, Madison Symphony Orchestra and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and has performed and recorded with groups such as the Orchestra of St. Lukes, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra and New York’s Grande Bande.
She was a member of the Executive Board of the Historical Brass Society from its beginning in 1991 to 1993 and has been an active performer on renaissance and baroque instruments. She has held previous teaching positions at Lawrence University and Delta State University.
In 2003, she was the recipient of the Leonard Ledvina award for excellence in teaching and was nominated for Educator of the Year in 2006.
