Professional profile

Dr. Sarah Parks is the Director of Music at St. Norbert College. She conducts the choral ensembles, teaches choral music education methods courses and supervises student teachers. Dr. Parks is an active choral clinician and voice adjudicator throughout the Midwest. Her college choirs have toured both regionally and internationally, including performance tours to France, Holland, Italy, Spain, and Hawaii. She is an active member of the Music Educators National Conference, the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the American Choral Directors Association.

Before coming to St. Norbert College, Dr. Parks taught for thirteen years in the Music Department of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, receiving the 2008 Outstanding Teaching Award within the Humanities and Fine Arts Division of the College of Arts and Sciences. She has also taught five years in choral and general music programs at the middle and high school levels.

Dr. Parks is also an active stage performer. Favorite roles include Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast", Hazel Hunt in "Radio Gals", Sour Kangaroo in "Seussical", Pitti-Sing in "The Mikado", and the Beggar Woman in "Sweeney Todd".
