Summer Music Theatre: a wonderful tradition for 50 years!
Our Music Theatre was organized by Dudley Birder in 1962 to bring Broadway musicals to De Pere using local performers. Since the first musical, Little Mary Sunshine, Music Theatre has presented more than 75 productions with more than 800 performances, before a total audience of approximately 500,000. It is the oldest musical theater organization in Wisconsin and is very much a fixture in the community.
Music Theatre relies primarily on local volunteer talent, along with a small professional staff. While it’s hard to know exactly how many volunteers have participated, we estimate the number to be upwards of 4,000 of our friends and neighbors!
Announcing Music Theatre's Summer 2013 season!
The 2013 season will consist of productions of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic hit South Pacific and Boublil and Schönberg’s current smash production Les Misérables.
