St. Norbert College and Michigan Tech University will begin an engineering academic partnership in the
fall of 2009.

An official signing will be held on Monday, April 27 on the campus of Michigan Tech University. It will
take place at 11 a.m. in the president's office which is located in the administration building #1, room
500A. A campus map can be found at http://www.mtu.edu/tools/map/flash/. Key representatives from
both institutions will be on hand for the signing.

Students will have the opportunity to take pre-engineering courses at St. Norbert College for two years
followed by a transitional summer period at Michigan Tech (2-3 courses typically) preparing students
for their final two years of course work at Michigan Tech. The only exception would be the Geological
engineering program which requires two summers of course work. The partnership provides more
choices and opportunities for students interested in engineering, especially those who value a liberal
arts foundation.

This academic partnership includes the following engineering majors:
Chemical
Mechanical
Material Science
Electrical
Geological
Civil
Bio-Medical
Environmental

St. Norbert College will be teaching engineering courses using Michigan Tech standards.
