The Talk of the Town will take the stage at the "Knights on the Fox" summer concert series on Tuesday, July 28. Dee Geurts-Bengtson, director of the St. Norbert Fund, will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies. The concert, held in the heart of the St. Norbert College campus, is free and open to the public.

The Talk of the Town is a six-piece New Orleans swing jazz band performing all styles of music with an emphasis on Pete Fountain, Al Hirt, Louis Armstrong, the Dukes of Dixieland and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

"Knights on the Fox" features live music in a casual atmosphere along the banks of the Fox River. Carry in your own picnic--or concessions, food and beverages available for purchase on site. New for 2009, Phil's, located in the Campus Center, will be open for business, offering a variety of grill and deli items. The picnics begin at 5:00 p.m.; followed by the concerts from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Concerts will be canceled in the event of rain. Check our web site or call for updates on the status of the performance.

Come by land or by water, as the docks at the Thompson Marina will be open. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us for another summer of great music and fun! Ample parking is available in the lots at Third Street and College Avenue, with handicapped parking in the lot near Old St. Joseph Church. Follow the signs to find your way to the parking lots.
